CEM 3.0.0.9.0.40 webpage control not responding

Hello!

I have a nightclub in Vegas running CEM+ version 3.0.0.9.0.40 on a Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit machine that has developed an error. It allows us to activate presets, but no longer edit them or set any levels manualy. Whenever we try, the web page locks up & then we get a "not responding" error.

Any ideas?

  • I had a quick chat with some colleagues and it sounds like it might be related to security. You could try this.  If you go into your Internet options, under security, select trusted sites and add the web address for the rack, it will trim down the security level for that site.

  • You work with the Microsoft IE?
    Or with Firefox?
With Firefox, i can't connect to my Dimmers, IE 8 is okay.

  • Same issue for me, Can't get certain features to function using anything other than an old version of IE.

Think it's something to do with some code on the web access side of things using legacy html tags.

  • I follow these directions regardless of the CEM+ firmware version and haven't have issues with new versions of IE

  • Depending on the version of Internet Explore depends on what results you get when connecting.

If possible your should run IE6 or use IE9 with the emulator running as described on the link Line4 has posted.

If you have a version in between you can get tools from Microsoft to do the same thing. see here for details - http://community.etcconnect.com/wikis/products/sensor-connect-with-internet-explorer-9.aspx

No other browser is support with CEM+.

  • Damn - the computer upgraded to IE10 & now it wont connect to the dimmer racks - merely says "undefined."

And people wonder why I hate Windows..

    Any suggestions?

  • can you access compatibility mode?
