CEM 3 Upgrade Random Overtemp errors

Upgraded 7 racks from CEM+ to CEM 3.  One of them has been randomly reporting dimmer errors overtemp.

Half the rack is Relays that close for a second at a time

 

The other half is 50amp mods that are sparsely used and NOT heavily loaded.

Overtemp reports are random in location and frequency.  Sometimes going days without an error.

 

Has anyone see anything like this?

 

 

  • I would try the following

    Re uploading the CEM config.

    Reseating that the bus cable connecting the AF cards to the CEM (and at all AF card).

    And finally reinstalling the firmware on the CEM.

  • Is there are a patent to the Overtemps? Like always in a block of 12?

    If so then as Marcus has said look at the ribbon cable. The Connectors on the CEM3 backplane for the ribbon cables are very stiff the first time they are plugged in so it might be one is not seated correctly.
