Can 010V wiring split/y before coming back to the relay controller?

Asked this today by an EC. I'm not confident in my expectation that it doesn't matter if the 010V wiring back to the controller is from the middle of a chain of fixtures.

As far as I know, every installation we have seen is a daisy chain, but I doubt that to be true.

I would think, that unless you are going to be changing your 0-10V levels crazy fast enough that impedances matter (Khz?) then it will make no difference. Now you sometimes can get into some funky ground loops when you are not at the end of line.
