This is a question that comes up a lot.
The panels have a lot of features in common:
Mains-feed for 120/208 or 120/240 V for the US market, can be fed directly into the input lugs or an optional main circuit breaker
20A relays to turn loads on/off
Ability to pair a 0-10V control signal to each relay circuit
There are a few areas where the panels differ:
Power control method - IQ uses hydraulic breakers to turn power on/off, ERP has a dedicated breaker panel that feeds into stand-alone relays
Circuit capacity - IQ can go up to 48 circuits in a panel, ERP can go up to 24
Load characteristics - IQ offers intelligent breakers for 15A, 20A, 30A; with each option being available in 1-pole, 2-pole, or 3-pole configurations. ERP offers 10A, 15A, and 20A breakers which can pair with 1-pole, 2-pole, and 3-pole relays
Load diversity - In addition to relays, ERP has an option to swap out a relay module for a 300W phase dimmer.
System isolation - IQ offers an option to have the ground isolated, this comes in really handy if you have any AV gear hooked up to one of the circuits
Inrush tolerance - IQ offers exceptional inrush tolerance (2 - 3 times what ERP offers) for systems that have high inrush demands
Special loads - ERP offers 15A or 20A 1-pole GFCI breakers for installations that need such considerations
