Color Source par5ch not changing color when patched

I have patched Color Source Parameter 5ch with the ion light board, but they won't change color, they just turn on and off. What do I need to do to change the color?

just to confirm, you are sure that the fixture profile in patch is set to the same mode as the fixture itself?

Are you sharing control with an architectural system (maybe Paradigm)? Your description is often what happens when two sources interact with Highest-Takes-Precedence controlling LED color mixing fixtures that have a discrete intensity attribute.
