Hilight parameters

and can i ask, why exactly are you trying to do this? it feels like you're searching for a workaround for something...

I want to use highlight as a rem dim. or as a solo  button.

the Highlight Preset and some imagination lets you do this, but it involves creative patching.

create a new fixture type that has only one parameter, best choose a useless one. i chose User_1. add this as additional part to your channels.

create/edit your Highlight Preset: if you have intensities in there, remove them. add a value for that useless parameter.

now if you highlight a channel the only thing that changes is that useless parameter (which doesn't exist in real life, so your fixtures don't change).

this also means that your Highlight function doesn't work anymore.
