using COTS LED strip lights with control board

I am trying to incorporate Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) LED strip lights that you can buy almost anywhere.  These come with various control mechanisms, but many utilize a Wi-Fi app to control the colors etc.   I am looking for something that I can use that would allow me to control these lights from the lighting console, either utilizing the WI-FI capabilities or converting the DMX /Ethernet signal into the appropriate Wi-Fi signal to control these lights.

In short, I do not want to use my phone and Wi-Fi, I want to be able to use the lighting console to control these lights.  Does ETC have anything that will simulate this so the control board will recognize the LED strip lights as an "instrument"?

  • Not all of them have this option of full mechanical control, but you can buy some control panels online and customize your LEDs by adding them.
The ones that I use are from www.vont.com/.../, and they have a manual control console, but it is rather small, and not all functions are represented there. But you can still control the basic ones without touching your phone. It’s enough for me because I change the modes rarely and use only the purple color most of the time. It’s just a matter of a habit, nothing more.
