Greetings,
Sorry if this topic has been posted before, but I’m a bit stuck figuring out my needed answer.
I have 2 theaters in the same building. The main stage is running a first gen Eos (2.9.3) with 3 Leviton dimmer racks, paradigm architectural system, and numerous pathway and etc gateways to run the system. This all runs through a private network and works well.
The second theater is a blackbox and is running a first gen Element (2.9.3) with one Leviton dimmer rack. I recently added the Element to my lighting network for the main stage and patched the dimmer rack for the blackbox as universe 8 using a pathway gateway. I disconnected the DMX line from the console and am able to connect to the gateway and dimmers as universe 8.
My goal is to be able to run the blackbox dimmers in universe 8 from the Eos for Main stage shows. The blackbox often gets used as a green room for main stage shows and I want to be able to flash the lights to cue actors.
With both consoles turned on, The Element takes control of the blackbox dimmers (universe 8) and works properly for that room. If I shut down the Element, I can run universe 8 from the Eos. I would like to have HTP control of the blackbox dimmers, so that both consoles can remain powered on and on the network. The Element will never have to control the main stage and none of the main stage fixtures or dimmers are patched to the Element, but having the Eos be able to control the blackbox would be nice.
I have tried multiple console settings on both consoles, and never came up with quite the right combination. I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I’m fairly new to networked console setups, but am willing to learn.
thanks for the help.
