lens tube angles

Hi 

I have 50 Deg. fixed lens tubes on some Color Source V profiles. It's a little wide. I was wondering if folk had tried moving lenses about within the lens tube. Thinking I might try it in the 36 Deg slot.

Is this ok? Anyone experimented with this? Suggestions or warnings?

  • Gareth, the markings on the inside of the lens tube are for lens installation at the factory only and will not change the beam angle.  The beam is based on the lens itself and where it is placed, the markings just ensure that it's always placed in the right spot for the product.  If you need variable beam angles, I suggest purchasing separate tubes or looking at the zoom lens which replaces the shutter barrel and lens tube on your existing light engine.
