I started learning EOS (NOMAD) about three days ago and have already watched close to 20 hours of tutorials. I’m making progress, but it’s definitely slow at the moment.
What I’m trying to do right now is create a few on-screen buttons that I can press to recall my Groups, instead of typing Group # Enter in the command line every time. I haven’t come across a tutorial that clearly explains how to do this yet.
I had no difficulty doing this in the past using TouchOSC with LXConsole.
In fact, I was doing almost everything from TouchOSC. The communication wasn’t OSC in the strict sense, but rather a simple command-based message format — for example:
/cmd.lxconsole/EFXstop.
This approach felt very direct and intuitive to me, as I was essentially triggering console commands from buttons.
I’ve briefly looked into doing something similar with EOS, but at this point it feels more complex than what I was used to with LXConsole.
For now, I’ve put that part on hold while I focus on understanding the core EOS workflow — but I’ll very likely come back to this topic once I’m more comfortable with EOS.
