I've spent embarrassing amounts of time wondering why the Mosaic equipment on my job was "not working" on two recent occasions.
The problem, both times, was that new shipping hardware (as late as leaving the factory last Friday, 2016-07-29) is shipping with 1.x firmware. You'll only be able to detect these devices if you are running MD 1,x (why do that please stop) or the Firmware Upgrade Tool.
