Mosaic Designer 2 /BPS(M108-6-US)/add to project

Good day, colleague.

I have the problem of adding BPS devices to the project created in MD2 v2.4.0. When BTS is connected to the network, in the tab "Network" I can not see the serial number of the BTS device.

And in Mosaic Designer v1.12.1, I can perfectly work with the BPS device.

Parents
  • you more than likely have to upgrade the firmware from V1 to V2 using the firmware upgrade tool . Also, I recommend having all other NICs disabled except for the NIC that is connected to the lighting system prior to launching MD, Firmware upgrade tool or Project upgrade tool. If you continue to have issues please contact ETC phone support.

    Have a great day!
  • Kind time of the day, Chris.  I would gladly change the firmware in the BPS device, but I can't see it in the program "Mosaic Firmware Upgrade Tool 2.4".  Only 3 devices are connected to the LAN, the PC, the controller MSC and the BPS device

  • Run Mosaic 1.12.1 and see if the BPS needs to be updated to last version of version 1 and then try to find it in V2 firmware updater.

  • Run Mosaic 1.12.1 and see if the BPS needs to be updated to last version of version 1 and then try to find it in V2 firmware updater.

  • Run Mosaic 1.12.1 and see BPS firmware version 2.1.3

    What further actions?

  • I was hoping it would need to be updated.

Next I would try, making sure only one NIC is enabled on your machine, disable WiFi, and change subnet mask to 255.0.0.0.

If still does not work then try using the firmware updater in version 2.3.1.
  • Did everything as you wrote, but still can not see the BPS device in the firmware updater, only the MSC

  • Hi AndrB-

In V2 all network devices have an IP address that can be modified. By default all devices have a link local address.

I would try and do the following:
    1) Close MD
    2) Disable all firewalls and antivirus software (add an exception for MD V2 if needed)
    3) Disable all NICs except for the one connected to the Mosaic system
    4) Right click on the MD shortcut and go to properties>compatibility and select run as an administrator
    5) Click apply
    6) Launch MD
    7) Wait 30-60 seconds to see if the BPS shows up within network settings
    8) If it shows up in the list be sure to configure the IP address for the proper subnet
    9) If the BPS doesn't show up you may need to contact your local dealer to get an RMA for the BPS station
  • I express my great gratitude to ctprice and jabadger, the problem is solved.

  • Hi AndrB-

What did you ultimately do to fix the issue? This will be helpful to others that read this post.

    Take care!
  • hi, ctprice.
    1. Uninstal MD2.4.0 and instal MD2.3.1
    2. Disable all NICs except for the one connected to the Mosaic system and created a network in which only PC, MSC and
    BPS
    3. Disable all firewalls and antivirus software
    4. Launched as administrator Mosaic Firmvare Update Tool 2.3.1
    5. The BPS device was defined in the program/updrade firmware version before v2.0.2
    6. instal MD2.4.0/up to v2.0.4
    6.Profit :)
