Losing control without warning

We have had an issue with our lights flashing off and back on without warning. It doesn't happen often, but we have just started a troubleshooting process.

I was not on the team when the system was installed, but as best I can tell we have a Paradigm ACP controlling a few Echo Relay Panels. The console we are using is the cognito2 from Pathway Connectivity.

I checked the logs and the same messages appear with the correct timestamp. It says that the CID has expired, and 4 seconds later it comes back.

What do these messages indicate? Is there a configuration I can implement to prevent this CID expiration? Or does it just mean that it hasn't heard from my console for a given timeout period (in other words, the issue lies with the console)?

I am navigating our system for the first time; please let me know what other information I can provide in order to get the most help.

  • UPDATE:

I am now sniffing the network traffic from the console to the ETC system. The next time our fault happens, I will have more data. I suspect it is a fault within the ETC system, though, because I realize that our console is sourcing data for both universe 1 AND 2. Universe 2 is the only one that ever drops out. More to come once we have another fault.
