ETC Mosaic

We have 5 touch screens on one Mosaic system for our house lights that are used for non show use. During a show we have a Hoglet 4 console that controls the house lights with some movers. We normally go to the touch panel and tell the house lights to turn off and take them over with the hoglet 4. the problem that I have is if someone goes to a touch panel and tells the house lights to turn on then that will over ride the hoglet 4 for those lights. Does anybody have a solution for this? Maybe a way to temporary disable the touch screens during a show.

  • Hi there,

Probably the simplest option would be to add a lock out screen on your touch screens. The lock out screen would have a keypad on it, and in your trigger list, you can add a Touch Keypad Code trigger with an Action of Set Touch Page (to take you back to your regular home screen).

You could then add a button called 'Console Control' or something similar, that zero'd out the Mosaic control and changed page to the lock out page with the keypad.

Let me know if you need a demo config to look at Slight smile

  • THank you for your response.

We have a 2 different 4 digit logins for this system and the one login is for the general students using the Arena for practice. the other is more of operator login. I would just like to make a button that locked everyone out until we deemed necessary. Maybe a Console mode button on the operator page and once it is pressed there is a passcode to get back out to normal or so sort of concept like that.

  • If you create a second duplicate interface add one page that is blank and black. then set all the touch screens that need to be locked to that interface. Then add a lock button and an unlock button somewhere in the first interface you should be able to lock by having the one screen make the others switch pages to the blank then back to the normal lock screen for unlock you will need to enable trigger controllers so you can select specific devices. I don't have a way to lab it up but it could work.
