ECHO programming questions

Hey Folks...  I'm looking to design a small system for a client that really wants me to use the ECHO access that she already has on her phone / iPad.   When i'm looking online, i can't find ANY videos or better instructions on how to program the access software, specifically... what the fixture libraries are, or what the programming options are.  I have 20 LED fixtures that i'd like to put in there that are not ETC standard fixtures, so I'd most likely have to build profiles.

Can anyone direct me to a good way to see how to program the Echo access with DMX scene controller?   I politely am begging for some insight.

Thanks everyone!

  • Hi Scott, we have an online training manual for EchoAccess that might be helpful. It can be found here: http://www.etcconnect.com/webdocs/Controls/EchoAccessApp/EchoAccessApp.htm

As for what profiles are supported in the DMX Scene controller here is the current complete list:
    -- Intensity
    -- RGB
    -- RGBA
    -- RGBW
    -- RGB_S (Selador Desire® D22, D40, Source Four® LED Series 1, Source Four LED Series 2)
    -- RGB_SF (Desire D60)
    -- IRGBS (ColorSource® PAR, Spot)

Please let us know if you have any other system design questions or feel free to contact one of our regional offices. Here's a list of all of them: http://www.etcconnect.com/Contact/Americas.aspx

    Thanks!

  • Lowell,

Thank you for your answer. That does help quite a bit. My Client has her heart set on some fixtures that are a RGBAW+UV. Can I create custom profiles for these or would be better choice be to use a console via DMX and record the looks.

    Thanks again in advance!

  • Hi Scott. DMX snap-shot would be your only option for any additional profiles besides those on the DMX Scene Controller list. Thanks!

  • Hi Scott, sorry for posting late to this question but can you expand a bit on the fixtures with a UV channel that your client wanted to use?

Could you post the make and model of the fixture?
Are the fixtures used in a way that either the UV channel is on or the Color channels are on but not at the same time?

I like to understand the way customers are trying to use the products and I haven't seen your use-case before.

    Thanks,
