Congo Kid output setup

Hi Tomas,

this is possible on Congo Kid - many ways to do this. One way:

Set DMX Port 1 to DMX Universe 1

Set DMX Port 2 to DMX Universe 2

In Cobalt Software -> Patch - patch the Dimmers to Universe 1. For instance 1-100 should be dimmers.

Then patch the LEDs and such to Universe 2

Then patch the Artnet Devices to Universe 1 in console starting with Address 101 (on Universe 1 in Cobalt, that would be Artnet Universe 0 in device).

Then in Network Settings, set the port used for Artnet Control to use IP Subnet 10.0.x.x,

and the other port to use 10.101.x.x IP Subnet.

Another thing I am concerned about is how do I connect wireless WiFi remote control tablet with aRFR software.
Desk outputs used as mentioned above, especially ethernet output used for ArtNet connection with mediaserver.
Am I supposed to connect the console to WiFi by some USB WiFi dongle?

For Congo Jr console (like our Ion console) you will connect a network cable to an unmanaged switch that has another network cable

that connects to a WLAN Access Point. More about this you can find out here on our Website.

Before anything I would like to point out, that there is probably old visualisation of Congo Kid's rear panel here

I suppose, that the one in documentation section is more up to date and the same which I am going to get, when a new console is bought today. There are two ethernet ports there, so that solves my problem - what to do, when the only ethernet port is taken by ArtNet. With this setup I simply use one ethernet for ArtNet and the other one to connect a wifi router by an ethernet cable. That was the basic problem for me. The rest I can learn from articles you've linked for me.

Hi Tomas,

 

if you only have one Ethernet Port on your Congo Kid Console, then you can still send Artnet and Data for the iRFR Remote on the same Ethernet port.

If you are only using 1-2 universes of Artnet this won't be a Problem having it all on the same network!
