Importing Sequences in 6.4.0

Hi Mark,

The renumber function is not available on the sequence level. However, it is possible to renumber the presets when you import sequence steps.

To do what you want, select all sequence steps of the source sequence and drag them to an empty target sequence. Select the Advanced tab in the Drop dialog and check the Include related presets option. Then you can select how the preset numbers should be renumbered (packed, unpacked) and at which preset they should start.

I will give your solution a try.  However I hope that the old method will return for future upgrades.  I rarely import individual presets.  It is almost always a completed sequence that contains a whole dance or effect that took a while to create.  The "offset" method was a simple way of renumbering.

I tried your method without success. After selecting my presets, the destination and then the advanced tab I only have 3 options:

All data (protect from dependencied conflicts)

all data (ignore dependencies conflicts)

Intensity values only

Where do I find the renumbering?

Is it not showing the re-number option drop down box and the start at box underneath  the import options drop down?

oops ! were you copying them from the sequences item ? the above was selecting the presets from the preset tree .

I attempting to copy from the preset list in one show to an empty sequence in the show in memory and renumber so as part of the process.  I can find no opportunity to renumber my presets.  The only options are the ones listed above.

I have a work around but it is tedious if I have a lot of presets to import.

Hey Mark,

Try selecting the presets you want and dragging them to the presets tree. In the advanced tab there you can renumber them and then just insert them straight into your new sequence. Should be quicker than a tedious way hopefully

..In fact Mark i just tried this .

Selected a range of presets in the import from organizer. Dragged them to the presets tree of the current play. In the advance tab of that pop-up i renumbered them. Then selected the range in one go and dropped them onto (in my case sequence 2 and they are sitting there fine by the looks of it

You should either drop the presets in the Presets node (as described by Andy) or drop the sequence steps with the desired presets into an empty sequence (this eliminates one extra step).

If you are dropping presets into a sequence, it might explain why you don't see the rename option.
