presets in masters

Hi Claire -

How are you loading the presets onto the masters? And can you check in your console's settings that the "Auto-update Master Page" setting is selected?

I believe there is a bug regarding loading presets to the masters in one specific way where they don't get recorded to the master page without pressing RECORD & PAGE (but I cannot remember what that method is at the moment), however using # PRESET & MASTER KEY works all the time (unless "Auto-update Master Page" is unchecked).

Some good advice was given to me on a similar problem I was having with sequences I was loading to masters.

See the thread CONGO VERSION 4.3.3  for the solution to that problem. I wouldn't be suprised if it helps with your problems with presets.

 Page + Record - recording submasters pages

If you load your master with only one channel with CH + MASTER KEY, Congo does not save them on master page with V4.3.3 you must use preset like REC + MASTER KEY. If you load some channel in a master like this :

select on live some channels with levels then use PRESET + MASTER KEY, with this solution, master contents will store on masters page

That's actually a bit misleading Pilou.

[REC] & [Master Key] creates a Preset and assigns it to that Master - this records more than you might expect if you're using moving lights, and will almost certainly surprise you later.

It's best to use [GROUP] & [Master Key] instead - this creates a 'virtual group' that only exists on the Master, and only records selection and intensity.
