freeze issues

I'm having a few problems when we use "Freeze".

The first problem is that when you return back to "On", while the levels onstage stay the same, the preset display in the sequence stack goes away.  Sometimes the refresh key will bring the display back, but not always.  Either way, it seems like an unneccesary keystroke and if it doesn't work it's really hard to tell what preset we were in.

The second problem is that while in freeze, it displays the live output of the attributes rather that accurately showing the attributes in the presets we're looking at in freeze.  If we change the attributes and update, it works, but it's hard to know if it was accurately updated as it's still showing live output.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

  • Could you explain exactly what happens when "the preset display in the sequence stack" goes away? Is this the preset number shown in the Main Playback view?

About the second problem: What display do you mean? Live Attributes? Do you mean that it should show the frozen data instead of the blind data from the console?

  • Yes, the preset number (and all data related to it) is missing from the Main Playback view.  It basically shows a blank line where "A" would normally show the preset we are in.

The display I'm referring to is "Live".  Mostly we use scrollers, and in the live display at the bottom of the channel box that have scrollers on them, the display shows the frozen data being output from the console rather than the data from the preset we are looking at in freeze, while all of the intensity values change with what we are looking at.

    Thanks.
