USB Boot with iRFR connected

There is probably a note somewhere that I have not read which says " please disconnect your iRFR iTouch from the USB port when rebooting Congo"

If there is not such a note , is it intentional that Congo does not boot when an iRFR is connected to the USB port ?

Hi David,

it could be that this Congo was reimaged from USB once, and then the boot order was not

changed back from Boot from USB first, so that the console is trying to boot from your ipod?

Also - why is your ipod/iphone connected via usb to the console? The console does not

give the required 500mA of power that the iphone/ipod needs to charge. See Chris's post on 14.08.2009, at 2:21 here:

One thing I have noticed that may be relevant is that all the Apple iPods I've tried (Shuffle, Nano and Touch), will always prevent my home PC from booting at all.
- It doesn't even do the memory test, almost like the iPod is holding the motherboard in Reset.

I have to completely unplug my iPod to allow my PC to boot.

None of the other USB hardware I've used (including some seriously dodgy home-built stuff) has this effect. It's very weird.
