congo offline and Wysiwyg

Hello
Is it possible to use hte congo offline and Wysiwyg like hog PC to prepare palettes before the show ? I have got a client dongle but I can't connect them, I have already install protocol IPX 802.3. When I connect my PC to my Congo Junior, it's ok but I can't have my lightboard all the time at home !!

  • Yes - just run Congo Offline (not Client) and tell WYSIWYG to connect to it as you would for a real Congo console.

    WYSIWYG can be on the same PC or a different PC across a network.

    I have try a lot of things but what protocole must I active ? ETCNET, IPX...

     Congo offline is running, I start a wysiwyg, I open device manager on LIVE mode, I choose ETC, Congo, after I try connect but connexion fail, I miss something but what ??

    You don't need any special protocols turned on in Congo. Only activate the WYSIWYG link parameter.

    But you must make sure that you have IPX protocol installed in Windows and frame type set to 802.3.

    Please be aware that you need to install a Congo driver for WYG on the PC. It should be available from the ETC web site.

    wysiwyg link parameter is active, Vista is installing because I use my congo junior too with wysiwyg and it is ok with it but impossible to run with congo offline

     avab vista network = 0

    And you have IPX protocol in Windows (with frame type = 802.3) installed on the machine running congo offline?

    hi I use this loads, My works at treat. On wyg have your console as a AVAB Pronto makes sure your congo offline is set to the same as your Wyg Vista, On congo go to advance settings and make sure your AVAB IPX is ticked.

     If you have all this then it should work. Im using Wyg v 11

    To make sure you and your congo is talking to each other on the bottom right of your congo when you have a play loaded or start with blank there is IPX (?) in the bracket is 0-9 match your Wyg vista with this one and press connect on your wyg and off you go.

    Daft question have you installed this yet http://www.etcconnect.com/docs/docs_downloads/console/Driver_setup.zip if not you need to.

    OK I have got it !!

    Congo offline is on network number 9 !! and Vista was on number 0

    well I change it and now all is running !!

    my pleasure have fun you wont get sleep now !!!!!!! Just check these setting when you load Wyg up it sometimes changes.
