What Operating System are you using? Are you attempting to run the Augment3d Tab (38) within Eos or did you click on the {Augment3d Tether} button? Is there any text that appears on the grey screen? What version of Eos Software are you running?
I am using the ETC nomad software and trying to open the augment 3d software through the tab. The grey screen is next to the standard options, but there is no text on the grey screen itself. I am using version 3.0 of the software. I hope this information is helpful.

Could you share a screenshot of what you're seeing? For instance, this is what I see:
Could you also open Tab 99 (Browser > Setup > Diagnostics) and see what's listed for Augment3d?
It might say
Connected A3D Engine Version: xxxx OR "Not Connected"
If not Connected, you may need to enable it on your computer (if it's capable of running Augment3d).
