I am in the process of patching a bar of Impression x4 bar 20s, and having patched one, where its beam hits the set it looks circular. Is this an issue with the fixture, or have I done something wrong?
Thanks,
Katie

HI KatieP,
This is a variation of the fact that Augment3d currently does not support asymmetric beams so even though the fixture is a bar type, the beam is going to render round when it hits the set.
Asymmetric beam support is planned for a future version of software.

Any idea of when that software is being released? I am using Augmented for a visualization in a few weeks, and would love to be able to have the GLP bars on it.
On a separate note, GLPs and strip lights like them are in fact a row of small circular beams, so maybe that's easier to render than a rectangular beam?
Thanks,
Katie
Unfortunately, I don't have any timeline available for that feature to be implemented at this time.
Regarding the row of circular beams, are you talking about the beam in the air or the endpoint as it hits an object?
At the endpoint. It's a row of individual lamps, each of which has a circular beam like a birdie, and when they all hit a surface it looks like a rectangle but its actually a line of diffuse circles.
