Assuming you mean the ---> in the Patch Table: Indicates the object is Nested under another object (also referred to as a Child of a Parent Object). The Position and Orientation data shown is relative to the Parent Object.
Makes sense. So they are objects that I put into a common folder; ie: pare, ellipsoidals, led's, and such in the model.
