Red Spots on stage?

I've been using A3D and really like it. On the floor of my 3D stage I always see four little red circles or spots, arranged at the four corners of square. Haven't found out what they are yet?

When you select then in Edit mode you will see that they are FPE points

OK I see that this translates to Focus Points Estimator. New subject for me so off to some videos. Thank you
