old models surviving even if not currently inserted

3.2

this cost me half an hour today, i really think that it's unintuitive...

i had a showfile from a previous Eos version and it used a Person_1. i saw that it was the older version of the model where you can't change the color of the clothes. i wanted to use the current version so i made sure that i deleted all instances of that model from the hierarchy.

i thought as soon as all old models were gone i would get access to the new model. but i was wrong.

then i though ok i will have to exit edit mode. but i was wrong.

then i thought i will have to load the showfile again. but i was wrong.

turns out i had to delete all instances of the old model, exit edit mode and then restart the Eos software...

what made this so annoying was the lack of any indication. of course i would have preferred a right-click in the library that would have offered updating to the current model, but ok, that functionality isn't there. that's not the big issue. the issue is, that this is inconsistent with the rest of Eos software behavior and hence absolutely needs an indicator that there are invisible models stuck in limbo somewhere!

thank you
ueli
