Focusing a rig in A3D

Say I need to focus an FOH rig to avoid hot spots across the front of stage. I do this in R/L up a talley by focusing the next fixture as I work across the bar with the ones I've already done turned on.

To do this in A3D, sitting in my chair, I'm turning the already focused fixtures on in "Live", switching to "Blind" and using "select to focus" for the next one I'm working on.

However, this only works on Nomad if I perform a little dance with the tabs rather than just hitting the "blind" key. The tab clicking choreography is:-

In "live" set the levels for the fixtures already focused then click the (already available) tabs in this order:-

"1 Live Table Active" - "38 Patch (Augment3D)" - "12 Augment3D"

Using the, more intuitive, faceplate  keys to set the levels in "Live", then go "Blind" then click tab "12 Augment3D" results in all fixtures set in "Live" being turned off in Augment3D with only the one I "select to focus" turned on.

Am I missing something or is this the designed behaviour?
