Pixel Map & Augment3d

Hello, is it still the case with visualising a pixel map in Augment3D that you need to have the pixels patched as channels?

Ideally I need to not have the 450 8 channel fixtures patched to maintain performance and keep the channel count down.

thanks

james.

  • I have seen this also, using a pixel map to drive only the intensity slot of a multiparameter fixture (so the pixel map doesn't really understand it's running the fixture, just outputting sACN addresses).  If you set a show control event to match the sACN addresses (ie a show control event with sACN 1/1 and action level-by-address 1/1) it seems to loop the data back in front of the processor so it shows up in A3D.  I haven't found a way to macro that process so it's entirely automatic though, which makes it proof-of-concept but kind of useless.  I think with some nested macros to work around the lack-of-a-variable issue it could work though.
