.dxf import error "model has no visible faces"

Hi.

since we have scale 2D .dxf technical drawings for our venue, im currently in the process of getting these imported into A3D to serve as a baseline for the model. When trying to import the .dxf that was given to me there's an error "model has no visible faces".

Not trying to get any CAD support here since that most likely beyond the scope of this forum. Just trying to get a second opinion here on weither this an issue with how the .dxf was exported in CAD or if there could be some other issue.

Thanks.

  • Thanks for your reply. I was kinda hoping i could just chug in the .dxf in and have it work since my experience importing models into A3D has been really good so far. i was given these drawings by our TD and they were for sure not exported with A3D in mind.

My current workaround for this (im hoping this holds up when im gonna be doing my first FPE attempts) is to use a .pdf of the .dxf drawing (which were also given to me and are to scale inside the file) and then use it as a Material for a X/Y and Z plane, which im gonna scale to fit a cube of the exact XYZ dimensions.
