Augment3d: Should Augment fixtures NOT be targets for click-focus?

Hello...

So, little show, studio theatre, one of those sequences where the actor goes to twenty different positions and we were going to do 20 different focuses but then just through, why don't we try using Augment3d as a poor man's followspot by click-dragging with the mouse.

Settled on having Aug3D in 'plan' view (camera looking down) for this, set the focus plane to 1.5m, clicked and dragged so the lights moved with the cursor and it worked pretty well EXCEPT...

Any time our route happened to take the cursor over another Augment3d fixture, our 'followspot' lights would all suddenly sweep up in the air, because when click-dragging Aug3D seems to interpret other fixtures as targets to focus to. As soon as you moved past the fixture the followspots lights would go back to the right place. If you're cunning you'd just steer the cursor carefully around all other lights, but it's not ideal...

There will inevitably be times you wanted to focus a light to point at another light, but it feels like the majority of the time you might not so I wonder if that should be the default behaviour...?

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Rob.
