OSC feature request / channel faders?

the reason why this isn't implemented is the load it creates. Eos allows 16.000 channels and to transport this info through OSC with every change is a bit much...

Ok - I can understand that. It's a pity though...
So no layout for channel faders...

You could build a layout of faders that control the intensity of one channel each and use the position of the fader in your software to estimate the level..... It wouldn't have the finesse of something with feedback but would work.

i'm wondering if /fader objects would also work with element channel faders (element has a rotary knob that can switch faders from channel mode to subs). and universal fader wings can be put into channel mode as well... i shall try that now :)

Yess, I thought about that, but without feedback it is kind of useless. It would also take up a lot of room on several pages in touchOSC, since I haven't found a possibility to switch through fader-pages like with the subs...
And since you can control all channels with the keyboard, I don't really need it. It would have been a nice gimmick for my students...

doesn't seem to work. but i looks like i found a way to access subs, while using channel faders :)

I have a fader that controls channel 1 in this touchosc layout.

I set the fader to /eos/chan/1 and the range to 0 to 100
You have to rely on the position of the fader to know the output and it is a manual value but it does work.

"real" channel faders create manual values as well, so i guess that would be it...
