Get Current Cue via OSC

You can force the console with /eos/reset to resend the information. But I'm not sure you can get rid of the implicit OSC output without disabling OSC altogether

The console will be transmitting /eos/out/active/cue when it does. You can have your app listen for it whenever you want to get an update however by not listening all the time you may miss a change. What is the issue with the app listening constantly?

To be honest it's mostly to do with my lack of experience in writing non-blocking UDP receiving functions in C!
I have an application that continuously polls other external equipment for data in a tight loop every second and I need to log this against the current cue. It would be just much easier to code if I could also poll Eos for this information from within my loop. But it is beginning to appear I can't.

What platform are you writing your polling software for? If it's on Windows, you can write a threaded socket listener quite easily using WSASelectEvent - this allows a thread to block waiting for an event to be set which indicates that recvfrom won't block.
