GPI Triggers

Were you given a reason why GPI was your only option? It might be there only output option, but you can use that for various input/sync options. Without knowing the devices and I/O a google search for gpi timecode should head you down the path of converters, sync clocks, interfaces and options. If you can post more details I might be able to help narrow down your searching.

I'll be getting more details today, so far the only information I was given through intermediaries was "it's the simplest solution."

It would be relatively trivial to take a dry contact input on the GPIO ports on a console (assuming that you have a console which still has the port) and use that to fire a macro which could then reset and start the internal timecode clock on the console - from then you can set up a show control list as normal?

are you referring to the console's Analog Inputs? all Eos-Family consoles old (e.g. Ion classic) and new (e.g. Eos Ti or Gio @ 5) have that afaik.
