Qlab and lightning with Mac

Hello,

I use Qlab for small theater shows. I always use the console, which is already there. But I would like to have my own one, I know and which I know how to control.

But I am not shure, which Console I should buy. Can I use a virtual console on my Mac, maybe even within Qlab?

I would rather have physical silders. What about a Eos Ion with a pack of faders?

I would be happy about some ideas, because I am very uncertain about this.

Greetings

ps I already have an Enttec DMX USB Pro Mk2

  • For a real console buy an IonXe, this gives you encoders and faders. You can also use a Nomad system with a Gadget 2 or any other sACN interface. To use QLab and Nomad with Nomad on the same computer you need connect to a network switch. The Entice USB interface does not work with ETC consoles. Personally I use two computers (2 MacBooks Pro) connected together with OSC.
