Nomad, Gadget and USB-C

Recently had to replace my MacBook, and the new one only has USB-C ports. I cannot seem to find any combination of adaptors that will allow me to use my Nomad dongle and Gadget. The Mac "sees' two devices on the USB tree; "Sentinel HL" (the dongle) and "Console I/O HS" (the Gadget). The dongle indicator light blinks when plugged in, but does not stay lit. When I then start the EOS Family Welcome Screen app, I am not given "Primary" as an option, so I cannot output DMX.

I've tried passing through a powered USB hub to no avail.  Any thoughts or suggestions? Or do I have to dig out an old machine of some sort with two native USB-A ports to lug around as my dedicated Eos device?

Thank you

  • Hi!

I am having the same issue using an usb-c hub on a m3 MacBook Pro. The dongle flashes when connected but stops flashing right away. And there’s no PRIMARY option on the eos startup menu.

I still didn’t have the chance to try an external powered hub. Could it be a problem derived of the hub’s electrical charge?

anyone has a solution for this?

    thanks in advance
