Timecode and cuelists

Hi everyone,

Having a bit of hard time trying to understand f somethng is possible.

Essentially, I want to have a showfile with 4 timecode inputs (response gateways) to operate multiple rooms for an exhibition. In each room they all have their on cuelists for multiple cues running in there.

Is it possible to have multiple cuelists running from timecode without affecting any of the outputs from other cuelists?

In my experience, when using timecode for a single cuelist, the command is effectively "go" on a nominated cue which changes the overall output. Is there a world where multiple timecodes can run multiple cuelists and not interfere with eachother?

thankyou in advance

  • Multiple cuelists can absolutely run in parallel without affecting each other. As long as no running cue has competing information a channel and its parameters will stay put. If there are channels that need to be controlled by multiple cuelists this can be a little mit more involved, but if channels are not shared between cuelists (e.g. because they are located in different rooms and you use one cuelist per room) this is very simple: You programm your cues and don't have anything additional to do.

The key however is making sure you don't have overlap between your cuelists. Besides just making sure that you record channels into the right cuelist you can also put a partition on a cuelist.

    Does this help?
