midi on effects

hello!

 

 

my lighting designer wishes to put a midi signal onto eos, so that the bassline of the music controlls some sort of effect.

(movinglights shall pulse to the music by zoom or intensity-effect)

 

is this possible?

how would it work?

 

i have no experience with midi at all.

  • Yes, it is possible, & relatively easy.

    First, you will need a Net3 show control gateway so that the Eos can receive MIDI commands.

    Chapter 25 of the operation manual has all of the details on how to make it work. Also, this wiki has some additional information under Show Control & Serial: http://community.etcconnect.com/wikis/products/eos-lighting-console.aspx
