Using ION and Additive Color Mixing

Hi,

I have an ION with 1.9.9.8 software and I'm using Varilite VLX moving lights with RGB and White LED's. While I'm trying to select a color with the color picker or even with the Gel selection, the result is not the correct. It looks that the console is trying to mix colors in sustractive mode and not in additive.

Any solution about this?

In the first instance, I would suggest updating your console to the most recent release.

1.9.9.8 was a beta so I don't think you meant that, however 1.9.8 and 1.9.9 are both quite old.

The latest release can always be downloaded from the Ion download page.
At the time of posting this, the latest release was 1.9.12

After updating, you will need to update the fixture in your show to the new library
- There is a button in Patch called "Update Library fixtures" that will update your show file using the library in the console.

As this can alter how luminaires are controlled by the console, you should save your show before doing it and check that your fixtures behave correctly afterwards.
