Dual Console

Hello,

Is it possable to have two consoles share the patch and all palletes and cues but keep there programer side seperate

Meaning if i click undo it will undo only what whats done on my console.

This way i can have an automated light programer and a conventional programer. But run one cue list.

And if  both consoles are sending information to the same light the net would do HTP?

Thanks,

  • Russell, in 1.3 (available next week), we are releasing partitioned control.  So, to do what you want to do, the best option will be to use a channel partition for the conventional lights and a separate partition for the moving lights.    It is possible for both programmers to store into one cue list, but it is not recommended practice, since cue attributes are shared.  It makes fine tuning the show based on the different needs of the ml guy and conventional guy difficult.  When you are ready to run the show from one cue list, all you have to cue is sync the second cue list to the first one (in the first cue of cue list 1 you add "execute 2 / enter".

Then you can run from one go button, but still maintain a high level of control at a cue level.

One thing to note - right now the "Undo" pool is not partitioned, so if you press Undo, it will be the last action that either programmer has made.   In a subsequent release, undo will be partitioned by user.

    Hope this helps.

  • Ah, Matt... brave soul that you are.  Matt gets kudos here folks, for being the first programmer EVER to use Eos in a partitioned control environment.  On a show that was big enough to really, really NEED partitioned control!  And for that, we are forever grateful to him.

On or before 1.4 Matt.  PROMISE!
