Off Line Editor - update library

If [About] shows you 1.9.1.9.0.30, that's the version of Eos Offline you're currently running.

The library update won't run on that software version as it's too old, so you'll need to install the Eos Family Offline/Client software update.

You want the Eos Family Off-line/Client Software v1.9.12 for PC (Eos, Gio, Ion & Element) - it's at the bottom of this page.

(Bookmark that page, it's where all future versions of Eos Family software, both Offline/Client and Console will be.)

As you're running Vista, you may need to right-click the installer and say "Run as administrator" to get it to install correctly.

My computer tech friend found a solution to the problem, it may not be the best one or the only one, but it worked..Wish I had thought of it..

To recap: I could not Patch GLP120RZ because my Library/ Offline editor was out of date..I could not update to latest version ETC Offline Editor, & could not uninstall old version..

Solution:
1. Did system restore in safe mode F8 - To a point in time before I tried to down load the 1.9.12.9.0.5 update.
2. Down loaded a program called Revo Uninstaller Freeware. Used this Software to remove EOS Family & EOS Family Fixture Library. Successfully..
3. Down loaded v 1.9.12.9.0.5 from ETC Connect site and it worked.. Yahooo !

As Richard says, run the installer as Administrator and it will work. Vista won't allow it to work if you're using a User profile. I'm surprised your computer tech friend didn't try that first as it's a known issue with Vista..
