Multiple Cue List - Playback

Hello

I don't have a problem as such but I've just mis-understood a concept and the manual isn't helping.

I'm running three Cue Lists on my ETC ION. In the Cue List Index I have a colum called 'Playback', currently occupied by Master, 1 & 3. My understanding so far is that the cue lists are assigned to playbacks on the desk to aid in running multiple playbacks simultaniously - correct me if i'm wrong.

I'm working at the Edinburgh Fringe and i'm creating Cue Lists for each performance so only one cue list will ever be active and i would never require access to multiple cue lists during a show; I don't want my cue lists linked to any playbacks, other than master in the situation that they're active.  What is the ideal configuration for my situation?  In my logic the active cue list is always controlled from the master playback and others are "turned off" untill made active.

I may have just misunderstood the feature so please correct me.

  • You can load (or not) any cue list on any playback control. It sounds like what you want to do is store a number of cue lists and play them back on the main playback faders.

To do that, select your cue list, then use the LOAD button to assign it to the main playback fader.

    The syntax is:

[Cue] 1/ [Enter] [Load] then press [Go] to execute the first cue in the list.

You can also use [Go To Cue] 2/3 [Enter] to skip from whatever cue you are running to cue 3 in cue list 2.
