Hey all,
Is it possible to fire MIDI notes from One of our consoles?
I know about MSC and Timecoding but Was not sure about the ability to send specific notes or commands other than GO etc etc.
Best,
Patrick

Miidi note output was added to v1.9.8 as the [Midi Raw] feature. You have to know the exact MIDI sequence that corresponds to the notes though.
Type [cue 1 execute (more softkeys) Midi_Raw ] and press [Help + MIDI_Raw] for instructions.
EX: [Cue 1 Execute MIDI RAW 93 45 7F] sends Treble-A note over MIDI channel 3 with a velocity of 7F
Running 2.1.0 on EOS. Doesn't work with either. I should state that I am making macros here. I can type the hex string into the command line just fine, but when you look at the macro it's not there. Has something to do with the text in macro issues that have always been a problem, I bet.
Thanks,

ah, yes, the macros are the problem. but there was a post about this, let me find it...
"I've found a way, how it works, and I have incorporated a note-off command behind the note-on command.
You have to work with and without scroll lock in the numbers.
"
the screenshot is from an eos with german language setting. MIDI-Data equals MIDI-Raw.
the trick is, that when in macro edit mode, you can press scrollLock and can then put single letters in there. what you see is the result of a mix of numers that were input with scrollLock on and some with ScrollLock off.
this all has been written up as a bug, but i don't know when it will get fixed.
PS: are you aware, that there is 2.1.2 now and it is recommended that you update, when your schedule permits. and don't forget to read the release notes...
