Saving multiple facepanel button configurations

Is there any way to save multiple facepanel button configurations on an RPU/RVI to a flash drive?  On the rental systems that I build, clients typically want either all of the buttons disabled or the buttons that are normally macros/stop/go disabled.  Is there currently any way to export both configurations to a flash drive?  I have tried renaming the files, but that does not seem to work.

  • Hi,

When you say renaming doesn't work what do you mean? You should be able to keep 2 different configuration files and say rename the one you want to import to RPUButtons and the other one to something else and then do an import. If you wanted to revert back you would need to reverse the process.

Is this not working for you?

    Cheers

  • Yes, I guess that would work.  I was hoping more for something where I could select which configuration of multiple configurations on the drive I was importing. I had briefly looked into partitioning the usb stick with a "macros disabled" partition and an "all disabled" partition, but partitioning a removable drive appears to be very difficult and there was no guarantee that Windows Embedded in the consoles would recognize it. Thanks for the great idea, its a little more work than I was hoping for, but it will work.
