GIO Encoder Labels Lining Up

This came to me on my last show, where I used a GIO for the first time. Since the encoder wheels are directly under the touchscreen, why not have the labels directly over top of them? (think Hog iPC.) Right now, the encoder label boxes are all squished over to one side making the furthest right one right over top of the third wheel instead of the 4th.

There were countless times where I looked down and grabbed the wrong wheel because I thought it was something different.

  • Uh, Mike.  I'm not at all sure what you mean.  The graphics that tell you what each encoder are doing are lined up directly over the encoders.  The category keys, command line and softkey labels are between the encoders and these graphics, but they need to stay where they are.  What am I missing in your request?

    Thanks,

  • Hey Anne,

I think what Mike means is that when you have the Encoder Display collapsed, the encoder labels all appear under the parameter display rather than spreading right across the CIA. They can't actually do that because of the softkeys, but it does mean that you have say Pan and Tilt labels both above the Pan encoder.

    Any help?
