EOS firing over MIDI

Hey all, 

 

Our next show incorporates sound, video, and lighting. We want to be able to control all of these through the EOS via MIDI. All of the articles I have been reading are the reverse- trigging the EOS via something else. 

So a few questions

Is it possible to have the EOS fire Watchout (for video) and Qlab?

What all do I need to network something like this? 

I'm thinking EOS --> gateway --> net node --> network switch

Qlab ---> Gateway --> network switch

Watchout ---> network switch 

Any help is appreciated!

    We use our Eos to trigger Qlab all the time.  It is my understanding that the Eos only is capable of sending a GO command, it does not do stops and go back etc.  We use the Gateway with great sucess.  do not know about your video prgram but if it takes MSC should be easy to fire. 

    I thnk a better solution is to useQlad to send the MSC commands to Eos...just a thought
