String feedback on Ion

Question

I'm wanting to send a feedback command via the RS232 port on an Ion RPU unit to the AMX control system that runs our museum. At the moment, no information is actually appearing on the AMX status page whenever a macro fires. 
 I've upgraded the firmware to v1.9.12, the string TX is enabled in show control, and all macros have a send_string command at the end. Any thoughts about why the information isn't getting from point A to point B? There isn't any problem with receiving commands from the AMX over that same port.

Hi Mike, 
 Unfortunately, the RS232 port is not enabled at the Ion RPU -- this is also on our wiki page here: http://community.etcconnect.com/wikis/products/eos-family-show-control-capabilities.aspx 
 There are a few different available options for serial: RS232 via a Net3 I/O Gateway on the network, or Network UDP messages.
