iRFR and ion+eos master slave

Hi had a weird one the other day. We have an Eos and net3 in house. Touring company arrived with ion and want to set it up in the middle of the stalls to do some re-plotting. Tried plugging our net3 straight into touring ion and it wouldn't power up(no Poe I guess). So networked both consoles and set eos as master and ion as slave. Worked fine net3 fed from eos. We did notice that whenever myself and touring tech used our iRFR apps connect to our own desks. Mine connected to in house eos his to touring ion. We couldnt work indepently. Ie when he was in channel check and I went in and out it cleared channel check or in live both our apps where affecting the same command line. I could see what he was entering and he could see mine.

Forgot to say both consoles running 1.9.11

  • Currently, if both iRFRs were connected to the same console, they would get unique user ID's and have their own command lines. But if they are configured to connect to different consoles they can get assigned as the same user, sharing a command line.

For now the best workaround is to configure them both to connect to the same console.
