Moving a Set of Address around in Patch

Hey All, 

I had a board op Patch a bunch of different Sets of address' to the Wrong Channels, They are in the right order however. Is there a way to Move A Set of Channels and their Associated address' to another set of channels? anyone have any thoughts.

  • If I'm understanding you question... You said you want move a set of channels  AND a set of address's...  but i assume what you mean is that say channels 1-10 got patched as dimmers 101-110 (or whatever) but dimmers 101-110 should have been patched to channels 41-50. 

    IF no programming has been done and you don't have any information in the database (notes/labels etc...) you can simply say 1thru10 [Copy To] [Copy To] 41. This will essentially just move your patch as there is nothing else associated with those channels. If programming has already taken place on either the source channels or the destination channels, that data will move with the source channels and replace whatever data is in the destination channels. That includes Groups / Cues / Presets etc...

    Think of using Move To (Copy To pressed twice) as "Renumber" in patch. But of course, if a channel exists and you renumber a channel to that number, its contents will be lost. 

     

    That make sense? Or am I off base.
