Ion Power Rack Compatibility

Question

Hello, 
 I assist in the theater department of a large high school, and we overhauled the lighting system about 12 years ago. 
 
 As of right now we have the original Sensor power control racks (2 of them) and I believe the current control console we have is the Express? or something similar. 
 
 We really need to upgrade the console soon because we're in need of more physical faders 
 the Ion console seems like a good choice, and paired with two 2x20 fader wings, we can have a total of 80 physical faders which is just about how many we need. 
 
 Do you know if the new Ion console would be compatible with the old Sensor power racks? 
 Would we have to rewire anything?? 
 Just the console itself is a hefty investment and this upgrade probably won't happen if it requires replacing our entire lighting system.

You shouldn't have to rewire anything as long as your current console uses dmx to communicate with the racks (which it should have if it is an Express). The Ion has two physical dmx ports on the back just like the Express.
