MIDI

Does EOS have to take MIDI TC or can you do midi program change? i deal with sempte mostly but i was looking in to midi program change to link up the sound console. Being at a church volenteers normaly don't hit go when they are supposed to. i am looking at sending a signal from the PM5D via midi to activate the go button or specific cue. any ideas?

  • You should able to do this using a Show Control Gateway, the gateway will accept MSC messages, which I believe the 5D will allow you to output. I just dont know what the Notes need to be, but I do know that it is standard MSC messaging. Hope this helps. Also just an FYI, Eos will support up to 32 Show Control Gateways, if you ever add multiple consoles that you would like to trigger the Eos system.
